Venture Experience
AI & optimisation for battery energy storage
I co-founded ENZUM to develop optimisation and decision-support technology for battery energy storage. We built proprietary algorithms for optimising battery operation against electricity-market conditions and developed commercial tools used to assess BESS investment opportunities across European markets.
BESS Operation & Optimisation
We developed an optimisation algorithm from the ground up to determine how battery storage should operate against changing electricity prices, while accounting for battery usage and degradation.
BESS Investment & Feasibility
We developed a commercial feasibility platform for evaluating BESS investments across different electricity markets. The analysis was used by customers assessing opportunities in Germany, Poland, the UK and Estonia.
From research to commercial application
ENZUM took complex optimisation research through product development, customer validation and commercial application. The company secured approximately €500K in private investment and European innovation funding and participated in several competitive European and international accelerator programmes.
